Objectives

•    Encourage the creation of “Innovation Zone” communities throughout the Arab world, which can be a collaborative research and development sites for the future of teaching, learning and leadership. These positions of innovative leaders, practitioners and community members lead the way in re-imagining education to enable each learner to achieve their full personal status and contribution to their society.
•    Providing a platform for decision makers, experts and researchers to discuss the mechanisms of improving education in the Arab countries and transforming it from education to learning for the purpose of innovation.
•    Adopting programs aimed at supporting the communities of creators in Arab countries to design and demonstrate a learner-supported ecosystem that enables each student to achieve goals and benefit their community, and country.
•    To exchange and present international experiences on teaching and creative learning and to formulate a practical plan based on providing learning models for innovation.



The Conference on “Transforming Education in The Arab World from Education to Learning for The Purpose of Innovation” aimed to know the following in educational practices:


•    Examine whether and how practices are changing within the classroom and educational institutions and how students use learning resources.
•    Learn a lot about how teachers change their professional development practices, how schools change their ways of communicating with parents.
•    Learn how change and innovation are associated with better learning outcomes, and this helps policy makers to improve and route strategies, resources, and get a quick feedback on whether reforms are changing educational practices as expected.


Education and innovation are deeply intertwined. Different studies have shown the importance of education and training for the creative capabilities and performance of businesses and economies. Some countries rely heavily on their ability to innovate from an economic and social point of view. The educational and skill level in the manpower are important determinants of how companies are success in innovation, so that the ability of national economies to compete is measured, where some countries rely heavily on their ability to innovate, as the demographic change has a decisive impact on education and innovation where important changes in the age groups structure pose challenges on the infrastructure of education systems and future labor markets.
Measuring innovation in education and understanding how it works is essential to improve the quality of the education sector. Regular monitoring of the educational practices development will greatly increase the educational knowledge base.
