Currency
 

The official Lebanese currency is the Lebanese pound or lira (LL). Notes are available in denominations of: LL1,000; LL5,000; LL10,000; LL20,000; LL50,000; and LL100,000. There are also LL250 and LL500 coins.  U.S. dollars are used widely throughout the country. Restaurants, hotels, and stores often quote their prices in U.S. dollars, and many establishments will convert and provide U.S. dollar prices for you upon request.

Weather
 
Weather in Beirut is moderate in general with a Mediterranean climate of hot and dry summer, spring and autumn moderate, cool and rainy in winter. August is considered the most hottest month,as is the months of January and February which are the most coolest, the Wind direction is western during the afternoon and evening, that comes from the sea to dry land, but at night, the trend changed to the east.
the annual average rainfall in Beirut 860 millimeters (34.1 inches), which falls mostly during the winter months, and a few falling in the autumn and spring. Most of the rain falling through a limited days which sometimes  falling heavily.
 
Transportation

There are three main types of public transportation that exist in Beirut. The first is the standard bus, which runs on designated routes throughout the city. The second is the minibus, which is more like a larger taxi that will take you wherever you want to go. The third is simply the method of using taxis. Under normal circumstances, the bus route runs throughout the entire city and connects most important spots. You can buy the tickets at almost any stand or vendor, or you can just pay on the bus itself. If you want to take a minibus or a taxi you can just wave down a driver. 

 
Language
 
While Arabic is Lebanon’s official language, English and French are widely spoken. Most Lebanese speak at least two or three languages, and visitors will find no problems communicating. Many establishments provide signs, menus, and information in both Arabic and English.
 
Time
 
Lebanese time is G.M.T. +2 hours in winter (October to March) and +3 hours in summer (April to September), when daylight savings time is observed.
 
Communications
 
Telephones: While the telephone system in Lebanon is well-developed, there are few public pay phones, and international phone calls are expensive. Most Lebanese use mobile phones, and coverage extends throughout the country. 
The country code for Lebanon is (961). This is followed by the local area code and the telephone number. The area code for mobile phones is (03) and the area code for Beirut is (01).
